Winamplanche

winamplanche13.JPG

This is a pretty village at one end of the Theux area which, since the time of the Marquisate of Franchimont, has always been divided into two separate local authorities, as the stream which passes through it (the Eau Rouge) forms the boundary between Theux and Spa districts. In the centre is St. André's church, dating from 1714.
For a long time, metalworking and milling were the village's main resources and it is known for its big traditional bonfires and its Christmas lights with the reconstruction of the village in miniature models.
